Transportation

The canton of Glarus is in the heart of Switzerland and yet is never far away from its centres:

  • By car Zurich (A3) and Chur (A3, A13) are only 45 minutes away.
  • By train you can reach Zurich and Chur (via Ziegelbrücke) in one hour. The S25 (formerly GlarnerSprinter) connects Glarnerland to Zurich daily every hour – without changing trains.

Schnell in Europa

In summer, the pass roads Klausen and Pragen to the cantons of Uri and Schwyz are open. Public transportation is well-developed and train, bus and post bus lines are coordinated and complement each other. Glarner residents also have an airport in Mollis for business or return trips right in front of their doors.
