In Glarnerland, it's worth it to take the easy road now and then, as cross-country skiers and skaters know. The canton has 8 marked ski runs through idyllic, snowbound landscapes. The ski runs are 2.8 to 20 kilometres long and have between 50 and 200 metres of altitude difference – anyone and everyone can find the right track:

  • Braunwald (Grotzenbühl, 6 to 8 kilometres, 200 metres altitude difference)
  • Elm (Bärentritt and Wiese, 8 kilometres, 100 metres altitude difference)
  • Engi (Dorfloipe, 3 kilometres, 50 metres altitude difference)
  • Matt (Dorfloipe, 6 kilometres, 100 metres altitude difference)
  • Mollis (Mullern, 3.6 kilometres, 60 metres altitude difference)
  • Schwanden-Linthal (Töditritt, 22 kilometres, 140 metres altitude difference)
  • Riedern (CGL-Loipe, 2.8 kilometres, 60 metres altitude difference)
  • Urnerboden (Gullispur, 12 kilometres, 200 metres altitude difference)
